Salary

The typical hiring range for this role is $73,750 to 108,777 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).

Our Fort Worth, Texas location is part of our Dairy division and creates soups and sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. Key responsibilities

Job Role: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Location: Kerry Group, Fort Worth, TX.
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and will directly supervise Quality Assurance staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees. Responsibilities
1.  Supervision of Quality staff. This includes scheduling, approving time records, periodic evaluation, counselling, and performance documentation. Responsible for conducting departmental and job specific training. Trains lab group on safety topics, quality procedures and business updates for the month. Other duties may be assigned.
2.  Conduct laboratory analysis and investigations, develop and apply new techniques.
3.  Notify key stakeholders of identified issues and ensure proper communication. Provide technical support for resolution of quality problems with operations. Compile and analyze test information to determine operating efficiency of process or equipment and to diagnose malfunctions.
4.  Maintain files of test results and product dispositions. Support and maintain SAP system.
5.  Maintain and update product specifications including customer specifications and raw material specifications to reflect any changes or product use requirements. Ensure finished product and raw materials are evaluated per customer/ Kerry specification and train personnel as such. Monitor test results in relation to these specifications. Implement various components of quality assurance program comprised of data analysis, systems evaluation, product assessment and quality technology.
6.  Development and adherence to Quality SOP’s.
7.  Participate and support the plant Food Safety & Quality System to produce safe quality food, including GMP, HACCP, BRC, GQMS, SAP, Intelex and others as assigned.
8.  Arrange preparation/ adjustment of test schedules and procedures, solutions, and reagents for use by laboratory personnel in conducting tests. Maintain Good Laboratory Procedures (GLP’s) including calibration. Order laboratory supplies.
9.  In conjunction with the Quality Manager, update and support food safety programs and food safety systems: HACCP, sanitation, and environmental monitoring program. Maintain the quality systems for the plant. Ensure work instructions, SSOPs, procedures and other pertinent documentation is up to date. Recommend revisions plant work instructions as needed.
10.  Participate in quality complaint investigations. Verify corrective action completion and continued conformance.
11.  Perform and/or participate in internal hardware and systems audits while ensuring compliance to internal quality policies and applicable customer/local regulations through the audits, observations, process reviews, and development of corrective actions with site management.
12.  Participate and support facility inspections, customer, regulatory and 3rd party audits, communications, commercialization's, and other interactions with regulatory agencies or customers.
13.  Provide technical assistance to quality assurance and operations.
14.  Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications & skills required:
•  Qualified background in food science, chemistry, biology, microbiology, sensory, food packaging systems and/or food engineering.
•  3 years practical experience in Food Safety or Management of Quality or Production, or Project Management in the food industry. •  Ability to drive continuous improvement.
•  Ability to affect change through indirect leadership.
•  Excellent written and verbal skills.
•  Proficient at Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge in SAP and Intelex.
•  Must be organized, have strong critical thinking ability along with analytical and problems solving skills.
•  Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.
•  Ability to travel infrequently.
