Quality Supervisor
Drive Quality systems to ensure the quality of receiving goods, producing goods, storing goods and shipping goods. Audit all departments to ensure compliance with existing procedures and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) adherence.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and provide support to all Quality Lab employeesWork closely with production, shipping, and maintenance staff on QMS adherence and incident investigationsConduct GFSI / HACCP activities in accordance with the standards and audit scheduleCoordinates Investigation and Root Cause AnalysisKnowledge of all lab and quality procedures, SPC database, and escalation planOrganize workflow of lab to increase productivityManages document control systemsReviews / audits documentation and data for accuracy and GDPReports out GDP non-conformances and assists in corrective action to reduce / eliminate reoccurrenceInvestigates holds and determines AQL sampling planReviews incoming raw material COAsCreates COAs for finished product and submits to customerAssists in Quality System auditsDevelops / revises procedures, forms and training aids as neededTrains employees on new or revised proceduresCoordinates information flow between Quality and other departments which may include preparing reports, distributing information to related parties, editing, formatting and proofreading materialMaintains records and data utilizing various automated systemsFollows and enforces Silgan Safety and Quality PoliciesComplies with applicable Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation PracticesOther duties as assignedEDUCATION:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceSKILLS:

Required: Highly motivated individual who can work with minimal supervisionHACCP CertificationKnowledgeable of SPCElectronic measuring devicesAbility to work in a highly cross-functional office environmentMS Office knowledge (with emphasis on advanced Excel/Word)Efficient communication of product specific tests and/or procedures via MS Word/Excel, Adobe PDF, etc.
