Quality Supervisor

Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Role Definition** This position will supervise personnel responsible for preventing quality problems through the development and maintenance of quality measurement standards. Primary responsibility is to provide support for quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier quality, and materials technology. Position will ensure conformity to global quality processes defined in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (QMS), day to day management of quality resources, and ensure resources are trained and competent. Oversees the administration and continual improvement of quality management systems. **Responsibilities:** + Supervise a work unit of hourly or salaried employees. Planning, scheduling, training, monitoring, and reviewing work of subordinates is required, and is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates. + Day to day management of quality inspection team includes priority setting and problem resolution to support production requirements. + The position reports directly to a Quality Manager and is typically responsible for quality associated with a product line or value stream including auditing and certification. + Plan and execute the implementation of Product Quality audit processes; inspector work instructions, assure Safe procedures and conditions, inspection tooling and equipment validation, + Accountable for inspection processes and execution are in conformity to global quality processes and reporting to management on QMS process execution. + Developing and reviewing reports to review with quality assurance, production, management, and engineering personnel to solve quality issues. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems that may not be obvious. The incumbent solves problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions. + Internal certification coordinator responsible for assisting and providing resources to internal certification teams. + Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the value stream. + Maintaining quality system documentation. + Coordinates various Quality training programs. **Required Education:** Bachelor degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautics or similar). This position requires an intermediate level of English. **Required Skills:** **Planning: Tactical, Strategic:** + Requires experience as a supervisor and PMP. + Functional experience of PDCA; setting & tracking metrics and executing RCCA. + Experience reporting area performance status to multiple levels of the organization. + Functional experience of process change management. **Quality Management** : + Practical knowledge of APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, MSA, etc… + Basic knowledge of measurement equipment. + Able to perform CMM report interpretation. + Previously worked with value stream Quality metrics: PPM, FPY, Scrap, BIQ F/N/M. + Understand the Non-Conforming Product Management process. + Have performed Layered Process Audits. + Knowledge of software systems: ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE. **Collaborating** : + Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department. + Experience working in improvement projects or workshops as owner of a workstream. + Change management skills. + Positive influencing skills. **Additional Information:** + This position will work in a facility located in Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon, MX.. + Work will start from Monday to Friday but subject to be changed to Monday to Saturday depending on the support requirements for the production line. + Willingness to work extended hours if required (during production line implementation only). + International travel may be required up to 10% of the time, occasionally on short notice (during production line implementation only). + Relocation is not offered. **Final Details:** Check the email associated with your application frequently, including the junk/spam folder, as this is the primary method of correspondence.
