As Quality Technician within Building Construction Products (BCP) you will support as we seek to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. You will have the ability to MIG Weld, Weld Finish, Stud Weld, Thread Tapping and Stud/Bolt Extraction techniques. The role will also rotate around different areas such as PDI, IQA, PQC, Dimensional and within the office.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Rework parts and machines as required.
Conduct audits on parts, partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.
Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.
Clearly communicate defects to other areas and support area personnel as issues arise.
Provide detailed quality feedback at daily quality meetings.
Participate in defect investigations and components inspection and Projects as required.
Investigate analyse and identify the Root Cause and operate the NCM process.
Update and Maintain Electronic Quality systems as required.
Support and train new team members.
Create and validate checklists both manually and electronically.
Read and interpret Engineering drawings.

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Basic knowledge of reading engineering drawings
The ability to read and follow standard work
A desire to help improve the build quality of our machines
Excellent communication skills
Desired applicants will possess the following:
Quality experience
AQE/BIQ processes
Experience within a manufacturing environment

Salary: £27,800 rising to £29,200 once fully competent
