MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Maintaining Quality documentation up to date, HACCP program maintenance. Verification and standard implementation for allergen management, foreign body controls, internal food safety inspections, non-conformance, environmental monitoring, pest control, food safety & quality culture Providing Food Safety, Food Defence & Quality Systems Training for the site staff. Ensure that all staff receive relevant training and achieve the minimum agreed understanding of the training and how it applies to their role within McCormick. Support the Internal FS & QS inspection and Audit programs to ensure that the site is capable of achieving required customer and third party accreditations. Lead GHP/ GMP audits and quality culture on the production to ensure standard fulfilment Support the External Customer and Third Party Audit programme to ensure that the Customer Quality and Food Safety requirements are identified and complied with by the site. Execute plans for continuous improvement for operations. Attracts, maintains and develops high talent staff. Defines performance standards and holds staff and self-accountable. Provides coaching and feedback effectively. Creates development/training plans for individuals within the team and manages employee relations. Manage the corrective action programs to ensure appropriate handling, response and resolution of internal and external audits. Manage the Investigation and resolution of complaints and non-conformances to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence of the issues. Identify and implement continuous improvement to the programs to prevent recurrence of the issues.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

Educated to Master Degree level or equivalent, preferably Graduate, in Microbiology or Food Technology. Minimum of +5 years functional/leadership experience Demonstrated significant and relevant skills and consistent results in functional area. Leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing people both formally and informally. Understanding of how all areas of the plant and warehouse interact to contribute to the business and to meet customer's expectations. Requires a general understanding of the industry. Basic commercial awareness as it relates to competition but only requires limited understanding of the latest developments in the industry. Ability to adapt to changes in external environment. Ability to seek innovative solutions and encourages the same in staff and informally influence Operations and Supply Chain teams. Extensive knowledge of HACCP, BRC Auditing, SSOP’s, GMP’s, Quality Systems, and Hygiene required.
