Quality Technician 2

 

The Quality Control Technician 2 is responsible for many duties within the quality department including but not limited to floor auditing, CMM operation, gage control, dock audits, assisting in sort operations, etc. The Quality Control Technician 2 assists in performing gage R&R studies, gage calibrations, various studies, data collection and overseeing sort operations.   

 

 

Performance Expectations

 

·         CMM Program Modifications/Programming, daily calibration and maintenance  

·         Maintenance of Gage Trak System for gages  

·         Gage calibrations and Control of Gage Certifications   ·         Assist in gage R&R studies   ·         Floor auditing of parts/Audit Gage tables   ·         Assist in capability studies    ·         Assist/manage sorts (tagging, material movement, training, monitoring, writing alerts/purges, etc)   ·         Perform LPA audits, report results   ·         Daily scrap disposition and scrap as instructed   ·         Weekly/monthly scrap reports as instructed   ·         Daily purge/alert report   ·         MRB maintenance – daily counts and report out   ·         Posting of information to floor information boards   ·         Balloon prints, Dimensional Inspection Report, Annual part Lay-Outs  

 

Credentials

·         High School Diploma or equivalent  

Desired Characteristics

·         At least three years’ experience as a CMM Operator  

·         Five years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.  

·         Prior experience with SPC, LPAs, gauges, and micrometers.
