Minimum of 5-years of experience in Quality source inspection ​Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

General Summary:

Personnel are directly involved in the inspection of product in the in-process and final inspection areas. The incumbent will use and train other on precision inspection tools and equipment, manufacturing drawings (blueprints), and procedures/instructions in their activities to ensure acceptance of product to specifications and requirements. Incumbent must know and perform all other inspections including; MRB inspection, receiving inspection, and final inspection. Must be able to gather, analyze, and evaluate data in order to make independent decisions in support of product improvement activities. Incumbent must be familiar with manufacturing processes and product flow.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Must be able to read and interpret work instructions, routers, blue prints, drawings, and specificationsMust be able to gather, analyze, and evaluate data in order to make independent decisions in accordance with company policies and objectives Incumbent must be familiar with manufacturing processes and product flow to troubleshoot and rectify product issuesMust be able to communicate critical decision making to management   Prepare, develop, and modify inspection documentation as required by work instructions Must be able to communicate with multiple departments including; Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, etcTrain new employees in inspection positions as required Perform Dimensional Inspection of all characteristics of manufactured productsPerform AS9102 1st Article inspection using appropriate drawings or specifications to verify part acceptabilityMust be proficient and able to train others in First Article requirements per AS9102Know and understand Federal Aviation Administration requirements and impacts on the businessEvaluate MRB disposition for accuracy and acceptability Actively lead process improvement initiatives Keep work area clean, safe and in orderly fashionComply with all safety policies, procedure, and practices. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human ResourcesParticipate in proactive team effort to achieve departmental and company goalsRoutine duties are performed with minimal or no supervisionPrioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyGenerate and review certificate of conformance of inspection result, lab testing, vendor certificates, etc. Performs with efficiency, the following:In-process and final inspectionsReceiving inspectionPerforms other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.
