Lab/Measuring Technique – Training on all technical devices, measuring instrument, laboratory material.Obtain quotes, RMA’s, package and prepare for shipment all equipment due for re-certification/re-calibration.Procurement, enterprise, control and care of all necessary devices except devices already made available by VW Group of America.Co-ordination and control of trials.Execution of regular visual controls – 1X weekly color harmony meeting.Quality representative to report to all Color Match meetings as requested.Support plan of the measuring methodology and tolerances.Provide both written and electronic documentation of all quality readings, inventory and usages as agreed upon. (Lab Measuring)Analyze and report findings on color, structure, gloss of painted bodies as well as Body in White and E-Coated bodies.Track calibration certificates & serial numbers of all Volkswagen Paint Department lab equipment and schedule calibration as needed.Sample control of the bodies and material.Coordination and execution of special paint finishes.Coordination and documentation for calibration of inspection equipment after manufacture default and as needed.Once per month Technical readings measure audit, reporting and presentation.Implementation and control of all ISO forms, procedures and numbering within CPP Team.Coverage for CP5A and CP8A audit readings and reporting.Distribution of pertinent reporting information to appropriate VW Group of America and Axalta personnel.Scheduling of special runs for readings and reporting.Supervise 1st and 2nd (3rd if added) shift Quality Engineers, Mix Room, Support Technician and Paint/Plastics Coordinator duties.Supports and follows all company policies and procedures, and upholds Axalta’s interests in a positive and professional manner.Interfaces with customers and attends meetings as required.Manages site personnel in a cooperative manner, promoting an environment in which operators can express ideas and concerns openly.Works a minimum of 40 hrs per week on-site and may be required to work additional hours as required or requested by the CPP Manager. Ensures compliance with all safety training requirements.Implements any required skills training or upgrades for operators.Compiles and presents monthly CPP reports to VW ManagementAssist with implementation of safety lessons, tool box talks, and noticesAssist in coverage in any areas when short on manpower
