Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Description
UPM Quality Technician performs tasks to inspect and test product to ensure it meets the Quality parameters set forth by United Performance Metals and that each shipment conforms to all specified agreed customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Daily Activities Include:
+ + Material Tensile Testing
+ Material hardness testing
+ Material bend testing
+ Receiving and final inspection
+ Prepare shipment material certifications
+ Review product certifications for release acceptance or discrepancy resolution.
+ Identify and quarantine nonconforming material.
+ Inspect and resolve questionable material issues involving product integrity.
+ Conduct inspection of product when required or requested. Assist with inspection layout and set-up as needed.
+ Maintain a full understanding of United Performance Metals' Quality Manual, Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions: How they relate to Aerospace and ISO requirements
+ + Process and administer requests for certification updates.
+ Support sales with certification and compliance requests.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
+ + Able to use micrometers, verniers, and computer inspection equipment
Preferred Experience
Manufacturing related experience
