**Job Title: Quality Technician | 2nd Shift | $20-24+HR** **4:30PM-4:00AM, MONDAY-THURSDAY** **10% SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL** **Job Description** The objective of this job is to support the Quality and Engineering Departments by ensuring accuracy, high-quality standards, and meeting customer requirements. The candidate will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. **Responsibilities** + Analyze and interpret part prints, identify datum schemes, and analyze tolerances and GD&T dimensioning. + Determine the method of fixturing parts for CMM inspection and establish the axis direction. + Number all characteristics on the drawing for layout inspection and label features in the CMM program accordingly. + Establish the probes and styli required, including necessary angles for part inspection. + Call out dimensions according to the dimensioning scheme and tolerances on the print. + Analyze results and communicate findings to identify dimensions that are out of spec or problematic for production. + Set up SPC data collection in Data Page for all necessary dimensions. + Monitor measurements and collect SPC data to identify trends and capabilities for special characteristics. + Edit and improve the program for production mode, making necessary changes for efficient inspections. + Update measurements and reporting as stated in the control plan. + Improve the CMM inspection setup process, request fixture aids if needed, and document the setup in the CMM work instruction. **Essential Skills** + Familiarity with CMM machines (Brown & Sharpe is a plus). + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including understanding tolerances. + Understanding and ability to interpret GD&T dimensioned prints. + Experience with measuring instruments and gage concepts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with software such as Powerway, Autocad, Inventor, and DataPage (SPC collection and reports). + Familiarity with 3D CAD. **Why Work Here?** Join a company with a history of stability and growth, offering generous benefits and a supportive work environment.
