As a Quality Technician, you will support quality control activities by inspecting parts and engines, assisting with audits and calibrations, analyzing inspection data, and helping to ensure products meet established standards for reliability and compliance. This is a direct-hire opportunity, with employment beginning directly with our client on day one.
What We Offer PPE Provided Direct-Hire Opportunity Referral Program Health Benefits 401K Reward Program Opportunity for Advancement Dental Insurance Paid Time Off What We’re Looking For Two years of mechanical trade school or an Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering, plus 5 years of quality technician experience OR 8+ years of quality technician experience without a degree Advanced operational and quality skills, demonstrated by achieving Skilled-Based Pay Competency Level 4 at Rolls-Royce Solutions America – preferred Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, internal combustion engine technology, dynamic performance requirements, test setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting – preferred Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), gauging practices, and test equipment – preferred Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels – preferred Self-starter with strong initiative, teamwork, and flexibility to work various hours or shifts – preferred Proficient in PC operations and Microsoft Office Suite, familiar with plant operations, equipment, and MTU components and products - preferred What You’ll Do As A Quality Technician Assist Quality Engineers in coordinating and implementing quality control objectives to resolve workshop issues, enhance product reliability, and minimize costs Collaborate with engineers to perform inspections and measurements on parts and engines, ensuring compliance with quality standards Analyze and validate inspection data, and process quality check sheets accurately Identify and process deviations related to quality issues Support inspection activities and complete the required documentation for engine delivery Assist with tool and gauge calibration efforts, including improving and auditing calibration processes for efficiency Support the investigation of line calls by assisting in root cause analysis Participate in OPTICS audits, verifying the effectiveness and repeatability of corrective measures Support internal and customer audits as needed Provide accurate and timely quality-related data and reports to the Quality department Monitor the calibration program by inspecting gauges and measuring equipment Communicate progress, developments, and potential issues clearly to Quality leadership Prepare and distribute quality reports and related documentation Promote and implement good health, safety, and housekeeping practices within the work environment Assist in conducting quality audits of production and operational processes Foster a compliance culture by adhering to and promoting the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned
