Quality Technician

Essential functions include:
+ Perform product repair evaluation to determine extent of repair needed to return product to new condition.
+ Perform dimensional inspections of finished parts and product components.
+ Inspect castings and finished parts.
+ Handle final inspection and paperwork prior to shipment.
+ Prepare scrap and rework tickets for non-conforming material.
+ Witness the testing of valves and PVRV’s.
+ Interact with customers on third party inspections and audits.
+ Perform NDE tests.
+ Attend and participates in quality team meetings, safety meetings and other training.
+ Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Technical knowledge of machining, welding and assembly
+ Complete understanding of dimensional concepts
+ Problem solving and formulations
+ Reading and proofreading
+ Reasoning and analyzing
+ Good communication skills
+ Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments
+ Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Windows and Office
+ Sufficient manual dexterity to successfully use a computer
+ Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day, though possibly more
+ Frequently required to stand and/or walk, up to 2 hours per day, and make occasional trips from the office area to the manufacturing area
+ Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including, but not limited to, safety glasses and safety shoes
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, as needed
