BASIC FUNCTION

The Quality Technician performs quality control/assurance functions involving incoming materials, in-process materials, and final test inspection of finished products to meet quality standards.

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Drive implementation of Process ControlsDetailed Process Flow Charts (Maps)PFMEA  facilitationCoordination of Corrective Actions for High RPNs to PFMEAControl Plan CreationCreation of detailed Operator Job Instructions (Visual)Creation of Work InstructionsConduct gage R/R and capability studies as data suggestsNon-conforming materialOrganize material in the main collection area. Perform basic inspection/validation of non-conformanceData/entry/ disposition material as directed using reportsReceiving inspectionValidate material acceptance using internal and industry standardsFinal inspectionVerify order compliance (certs, govt requirements/order requirements met)Inspect complete productCreate a Certificate of Conformance following the established processFirst pass yield troubleshootingAssist in resolving assembly/machining issues by using blueprints, measuring parts, determining root cause with a path forward to correct Verification of product using a wide variety of metrology toolsConduct internal process auditsOther duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or Manufacturing/ Quality Technical Certification preferredBasic metrology skills required.3 years of manufacturing experience (assembly or machining) desirable.Natural sense of urgencyAbility to interpret engineering specifications and drawingsTroubleshooting and root cause identification capabilities.Ability to break down problems into manageable and actionable components, poised to make progress on resolving issues.Ability to create and organize work instructionsAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organizationProficient in Microsoft Office software
