Quality Technician II - 7352 Industrial Blvd, Allentown, Pennsylvania, 18106

The Quality Technician II is responsible for working with Quality, Operations and Maintenance to perform the validation and verification activities on shift as well as ensure the utilization of the Food Safety Management System as indicated.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on Night Shift working our 2-2-3 schedule (see shift details). Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. 

Nights: 6:00pm-6:00am

Week 1: Monday Tuesday Friday SaturdayWeek 2: Sunday Wednesday Thursday

Position Responsibilities

Performs duties with a safety-first approachPerform line audits with advanced knowledge of production linesMaintain lab testing equipmentUnderstands how to identify defects and discrepancies concerning quality issues and effectively communicate to resolve each problemPrepare reagents and solutions for use in testing proceduresSkilled in numerous testing procedures of raw materials, packaging, preparation, and finished productsWork without supervisionEnsures compliance with company specifications and government regulatory requirements including FDA, GMPs, and HACCP/HARPCEnsures that all product produced meets quality specifications by inspecting sanitation, recipe compliance, labeling, fill weights, and food safety specificationsPerform inventory movements in SAPAssist in plant trialsReview paperwork for all lines (excluding low acid products)Assist in VMS auditsOther duties as assigned by the manager, supervisor, and lead Total Rewards Compensation: Pay starting at $26.16 per hour. Requirements BS or AA degree in science or technical field preferred3 years of experience in a food/beverage/pharmaceutical industryComputer knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basisAbility to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motion Ability to spend significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with some frequency of computer workMust be available to work extended hours and flexible time in different departments based on business needs Company Overview
