QUALITY TECHNICIAN

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Rotating 12 Hour Shift

Conducts inspections, tests, and measurements on finished and semi-finished products in a timely manner. Records results of all inspections, tests, measurements and notifies appropriate personnel of any out of specification conditions. Records actions taken to address out of specification

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an at-will employer, SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.

Collect samples and perform inspections, tests, and measuring in accordance with published control plans. Generate nonconformance reports in accordance with published procedures regarding control of non-conformances. Generate reports documenting all measurement, inspection, testing results and actions taken when results do not meet specifications. Maintain the QA Incoming Area and QA Lab to appropriate cleanliness and orderliness standards. Perform receiving inspections in accordance with published procedures and record/report results. Support or fill in for Quality Inspector in their shift. Ensure all inspection, measuring and test equipment is handled with care, kept clean and stored properly when not in use.  Report any issues immediately. Store samples, retains, standards, records in accordance with standard procedures.

 

 YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D required. or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous experience as a quality control inspector preferred. Previous experience in FDA regulated industries preferred. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Ability to work all shifts and perform overtime Future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Power Point presentationsreports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.  Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications

Position Eligibility:

Criterions an employee must meet in order to be eligible to apply for this position.

Must have been in their current role for six (6) months. Met or exceeded performance expectations on their last review. Be clear of any written warnings for the last six (6) months. Be clear from probation or suspension for the last six (6) months
