SUMMARY

The Quality Tech is responsible for providing technician support to the following: production and systems quality, administrative systems of certified operator/inspector program, inspection and all internal special processes (except FPI) within the Winsted operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Initiate / source inspection / product release and may review customer purchase orders and specifications as applicable for compliance as part of DSQR/Product Release Agent. Administer the certified operator/inspector program, including training, testing and auditing. Investigate and document certified operator findings and issue appropriate corrective action/written reports. Maintains drawing and specifications for the Winsted plant. Maintains record retention files and area all quality records for the plant. Maintains document revision history, including archive database. Inputs MRB data entry. May provide training on variety of quality issues/programs. Disposition and submit MRB parts. Support administration responsibilities of RMD data entry as needed. Support Data Myte / SPC collection issues as needed. Support administration responsibilities of master shop floor router changes as needed. Support administration responsibilities of drafting department (operation sheet instructions) (off shift) as needed. Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook. Perform all other job duties as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively participates, promotes and complies with all EHS programs and policies. Must maintain Final Inspector status. Conduct internal audits. Support administration responsibilities within the Central Quality department as needed. May interface with customers and supplies. Witness welder qualification part submittals and perform weld visual inspections. Report to MFG staff periodically on quality measures. Perform other duties as required to meet business needs. Provide support to shop floor production as needed. Familiarity and compliance with corporate and plant protocols including EHS, SOX, Ethics of Business  Conduct, ABS, ASAT, ISO and export control.
