Overview:
Ensure that products meet established quality standards and specifications. Perform inspections, tests, and audits to identify defects or deviations from quality standards using various tools and equipment to measure and analyze product dimensions and characteristics.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections and tests on materials, components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.Assist in completing and submitting PPAPs, ISIRs, Control Plan and FA inspectionsCalibrate and maintain test and measurement equipment and the calibration system.Perform ISO internal audits Accurate complete of records or computer entries associated with the inspection’s dutiesParticipate and assist in process improvement initiatives and shall present a positive attitude Assist in resolving customer complaints and returns (RGA)Perform cleanliness testingStay informed about industry regulations and quality standards to ensure process aligns with applicable requirements.Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.3 years of inspection experience in metal fabrication environment. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferredMust have ability to read and interpret blueprints and use a variety of precision measuring instrumentsMust have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Must be able to demonstrate leadership by serving as an example to others with regard to professional behavior, handling multiple tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and in response to organizational change.Proficiency with GD&T and CMM.Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff and customers.Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.Basic Knowledge of quality concepts and control along with understanding of production processes and procedures. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
