Responsibilities for a Quality Technician I include but are not limited to: + Under general direction works in support of engineers to solve practical problems encountered in the development of electronic circuits and/or electro-mechanical assemblies. + Communicate with production team members and supervision to help identify and correct nonconformanc’s. + Conduct audits (Internal, Vendors, Suppliers, Sub-Contractors, Production Process) + Participating in the Positive Recall process. + Processing Nonconforming Material in the Material Review Board (MRB) area working with Process Engineering to identify and implement process improvements. + Actively participate in the initiation, investigation, and validation of corrective actions. + Ability to read assembly drawings and performing the Final First Article Inspection (FAI). + Ability to read fabricated part drawings and performing Receiving Inspection First Article Inspection. + Ability to read PCB drawings and performing Receiving Inspection First Article Inspection. + May provide weekly Quality Control Process Charts for meetings and paretos with action item plan and results to support Lean Manufacturing initiatives. + Understand all processes within the factory. + Strive for Continuous Quality Improvement which includes: + Reviewing defect reports. + Facilitating the resolution of process discrepancies that produce defects or process indicators in customer products. Qualifications: + An Associate Degree in Electronics, Electro-mechanics, Automated Systems, or equivalent work experience. + Two years of experience in Receiving Inspection, Process Inspection, and Final Inspection. + Two to five years of experience working within a manufacturing environment. + Must be familiar with current IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies + Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Documents and Moisture Sensitivity Devices (MSD) requirements + Familiar with J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies. + Proficient with Windows operating system and Office for Windows.
