CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Quality Technician. Job Title: Quality Technician Location: Fairport, NY Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Fairport, NY Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Education: Two year (Associates) + 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment OR High school diploma + 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as: Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Flexibility to adapt and manage changes in workflow and priorities. Description: In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor. This position focuses on ensuring the product quality and disposition of Advanced Optics parts and materials, reviewing and releasing product and material documentation, and acting as a liaison between the Plant and key stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with other functions within the organization, such as Engineering, Operations, and Procurement, to drive an improved customer experience with our products. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Ensure product quality and compliance with established requirements. Disposition production events related to part and material non-conformances. Monitor and track key performance metrics consistent with job responsibilities. Support Plant Safety programs to help maintain a safe working environment. Meet department requirements for safety, quality, and cost. Identify root causes of issues and propose corrective actions. Drive simplification and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform administrative tasks related to production events, ensuring progress and completion. Assist with other Quality processes such as RMA, Auditing, and CAPA as needed. Requirements: Required Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree in a technical field + 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, OR High school diploma + 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment. Qualifications: Previous experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing or technical setting. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams. Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Desired Skills: Knowledge of ISO 9001. Experience with ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP. Familiarity with interpreting procedures and work instructions. Soft Skills: Flexibility to work within a dynamic team and assist with training others. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization. Self-motivated with a focus on continuous personal and corporate improvement. Additional Information: No third-party resumes will be accepted.
