**Job Title: Quality Technician** **Job Description** This position is in the quality department of a manufacturing facility that produces plastic injection parts for the automotive industry. The day-to-day responsibilities include starting with a pass-over meeting with the previous shift, working with machine operators to perform first piece and random piece inspections throughout the day. The role involves using calipers and visual inspection for quality control, entering findings into either an EXCEL report or IQMS, performing basic data entry, and making labels for parts if needed. The ideal candidate should be capable of operating independently as there is no supervisor on staff. **Responsibilities** + Conduct pass-over meetings with the previous shift. + Collaborate with machine operators for first piece and random piece inspections. + Use calipers and visual inspection to ensure quality control. + Enter inspection findings into EXCEL reports or IQMS. + Perform basic data entry tasks. + Create labels for parts as necessary. + Operate independently without direct supervision. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of quality control experience in plastic injection molding. + 3 years of experience using calipers. + Proficiency in data entry. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in automotive manufacturing is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company that values its employees. The environment has a distinct smell of burning plastic, is bright and well-lit, and prioritizes safety. The dress code is laid-back, allowing sweats, t-shirts, and shorts in warmer weather, but closed-toed shoes and provided eyewear are mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
