Job Description Summary
As a Quality Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will participate in highly agile R&D environment qualifying data center products. This will involve supporting quality engineers on day-to-day basis with multiple items - checking requirements, the implementation of new test software or testing methodologies and tools to facilitate the qualification and test execution. You will play a critical part in identifying the root cause of qualification failures and the appropriate corrective action. Also responsible to support Quality program/Audit/6S/ESD activities at the site as required.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Maintenance Responsibilities:
Coordinate Equipment Repairs, Calibrations, and MaintenanceCoordinate Entries into Equipment Tracking Interface (ETO)Coordinate EHS and ESD RequirementsPlan and Organize all Equipment Facilitation, Installation, and Layout for the areaLab Responsibilities:
Start the different reliability test flows per Engineering requestVerify incoming material against tracking system for physical count and accuracyPrepare drives/equipment for testing (load board count/secondary debug hardware/drive install)Perform bench level testing (drive reformatting/FW loads/debug)Pull debug diagnostics from drive (elog/UART/superdm/panic)Interpret failure information with QRA and/or EngineeringIsolate failing components (load board, tester, program, device)Recover functionality of drive after testingPerform test operation, qualification testing and Pretest the drives to ensure functionalityDaily communication with engineers (drive fails, tester issues, software issues/needs, hardware needs)Collect data on failures and accurately record all failures using JIRA.Maintain JIRA support by following daily or frequent checks on JIRA's you've filed to ensure we align with requests and that JIRA's are making progress.Tester responsibilities:
Understand the functionality of PQEAgent (intermediate HW/SW that supports reliability testing)Gather tester debug logs (syslog, TLP, snap files, oven temp logs, system logs)Minimum Requirements:
Proficiency working with computers2+ years of quality/testing experience with computers including hardware and softwareBasic knowledge of tester hardware and functionalityStrong communication skills and ability to work with a team of engineersPreferred requirements:
Two-year industry related associate degree; working towards a STEM related degree; or equivalent military training and experienceAbility to understand test results and faults with the ability to debug and troubleshoot as neededBasic understanding of tester logs and test flow related to QUALFamiliarity with JIRA programThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$25.25 - $48.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
