**Job Description:**
**BASIC FUNCTION**
Provides support across all departments to ensure that all products and raw materials meet or exceed stated requirements. The QC Technician has the authority to put any suspect materials on hold, reject and disposition as appropriate, based on test results and other appropriate input.
**JOB DUTIES**
+ Performs microbial testing on finished products, bulk mixes, and raw materials to standard specifications.
+ Performs mechanical tests and analysis (tensile testing, chemical lab tests) to standard specifications.
+ Inspects finished goods, raw materials, retains, and occasionally reworked materialsand isolates materials and ensures disposition of product found outside of specification limits.
+ Provides technical support to R&D.
+ Maintains quality data records, work instructions, and revisions as necessary.
+ Performs inspections of outbound OE shipments to ensure all customer requirements are met.
+ Prepare certificates requested by customers for materials as required (COAs or COCs).
+ Manage equipment and device calibration program.
+ Conduct internal audits.
+ Promotes and follows all safety guidelines and procedures. Recommend safety improvements as needed.
+ Promote quality assurance by promoting quality procedures and practices throughout the facility, and recommend improvements as needed.
+ Maintain workflow and hygiene of labs through supply ordering and aseptic procedures
+ Serves as back-up for Quality Engineer.
+ Additional duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Two-year technical degree in chemistry or biology, or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing quality control setting.
+ Must have good communications skills.
+ Will work in the presence of environmental factors such as chemicals, noise, and odors.
+ Computer literate and strong organization skills.
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and internal auditing experience a plus.
