Daikin Applied is seeking a Quality Technician- Compressors. The Quality Technician is to ensure the quality of industrial processes, materials, and products. The position will be responsible for inspecting, directing repairs, maintaining quality levels, and supporting quality engineers for quality issues. Location: Staunton, VA – Onsite

 

What you will do:

Understand and adhere to company Quality Control procedures, as related to overall inspection requirements Cooperate with production personnel and supervision to ensure the maximum of production with the optimum of quality, as established by management Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing material, parts, and assemblies to specifications and blueprints following standard shop practice and/or special instructions Supports Quality Engineers and Commodity Managers with supplier quality issues Utilize quality tools such as Fishbone Diagram, 3 Legged 5 Why, and 8D methodology Support and participate in the quality clinic activities Determine controls necessary to maintain consistent quality level Dispose of rejected material Direct repairs and deviated corrections as required Generate inspection reports and analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED 2 years of relevant experience Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

Vocational or Technical degree 3 years of relevant experience
