Quality Technician II, Mechanical

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs  Must be able to push/pull up to 30 lbs

 

Basic Requirements:

Minimum of two years mechanical testing experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent  Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications 

Minimum 5 years’ metallurgical experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent  Minimum of 2 years’ experience with basic computer skills

Quality Tech- Mechanical

 

Description: 

Performs metallurgical and/or mechanical testing on manufactured products. Handles complex testing of manufactures product due to a broad understanding of test systems, and/or metallurgy. Must demonstrate successful completion of training Qualifications and examinations for NADCAP accreditation. 

Key Responsibilities:

Performs mechanical destructive testing on manufactured products as follows: Hardness and Microhardness testing Tensile, Shear, and Double-Shear testing Fatigue testing Insertion Force testing Torque testing Pin Break testing May support preparation of test samples for metallurgical examination. Prepares inspection cards/data sheets for recording/maintaining results. Performs minor maintenance and repair of test equipment. Performs processes in accordance with company procedures and specifications. Performs all necessary inspections, tests, or calibrations in a timely manner.  Performs additional tasks as needed to support QA laboratory needs or as required by management. Works in safe manner that promotes the health and wellbeing of the individual and environment: Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor. Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers and suppliers.
