Quality Technician - Inspector

The Inspector is responsible for the inspection and certification of repaired or overhauled customer owned components, under the guidance of the Chief Inspector and Manager.

$22.00 starting wage - moving to $24.00 once the following requirements are met:

Training completed

Certification Obtained

Work becomes operational at Dixon.

Make periodic check on all Inspection tools and calibrate precision test equipment with guidance by the Chief Inspector and or Quality Manager.Ensure that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent reuse or unit release as serviceable parts.Properly submit reports of defects or unairworthy conditions in accordance with FAR 145.221.Inspect all items processed by the repair station per FAR 145Assure that required inspections have been performed when assignment, shift change or any personal changes occurProperly tag and identify all parts

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with FAA regulations preferredCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingExperience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPointTwo or more years of experience in a manufacturing environmentMechanically inclinedAble to read and follow written and/or verbal instructionsAble to travel up to 2 weeks per month to Valencia CA location for training for up to 1 year from taking the job.Able to manipulate fine, small parts with fingers and hands of both hands Accuracy and Attention to detail are requiredAble to stand, reach, stoop or squat for 10 hours per dayAble to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
