Quality Technician T3 Cylinder 1st Shift

This position provides prompt direct support to cylinder manufacturing, field return tear downs and provides input as required for new products and sustaining change activities. A good understanding of inspection techniques, testing of materials, problem solving techniques and product qualities such as dimensional, mechanical, visual, and electrical performance characteristics is required.

What You Will Do:  

Job Responsibilities

Perform metrology utilizing open setups, variable/attribute gauges, and other metrological equipment.Recognize and solve routine problems that can occur in one’s own work area with supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established operating procedures.Apply analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot in process defects and field returns.Conduct and provide guidance on receiving inspection, first articles, part inspection plans, certificate of analysis, dock to stock, nonconforming material reports, corrective actions, material review board, deviations, and engineering changes in compliance with BHMA and Allegion standards.Participate in/Contribute to design reviews by clarifying print and inspection methods.Work with all levels of the organization (Commodity Managers, Materials Managers, Planners, Manufacturing and Design/Sustaining/Process Engineers) recommending quality processes and requirements that will lead to achieving the Quality goals of the organization.Identify and develop process improvements.Maintain organized and accurate records for the department.Participate as required in New Product and Sustaining activities.Comply with company standards and safety rules.

What You Need to Succeed:  

Proficiency methodology experience required.Ability to read and interpret prints required.Mechanical background required.Hand on experience with Problem solving techniques required.Prior experience with various door lock assemblies and new product development preferred.Knowledge of GD&T and other engineering specifications preferred.Microsoft Office literacy required (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)5 - 8 years’ experience in Production, Supplier Quality, Transitions or Product Development preferred.Good grounding in analysis techniques, Statistical Process Control, Gage Capability Studies preferred.ASQ certification Quality Technician preferred.Dependable and adaptable person who can manage changes in the work environment, along with the ability to follow instructions.Can direct others to those instructions, monitors own work and others to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.

Compensation:

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.  

The expected Base Hourly Range: $23.56- $41.68. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
