The Quality Test Engineer I is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes. QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. + Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. + Experience in executing manual/automated tests for builds. + Familiarity with programming languages such as Java/SQL is a plus. + Proficiency in using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA) for defect management. + Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. + Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams + ISTQB certification or any other relevant certifications (preferred) + Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment (preferred) ACCOUNTABILITIES: + Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and specifications. + Execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases. + Identify defects in software applications by conducting thorough functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing. + Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues reported by customers or identified during testing. + Document test results and provide clear reports on the status of testing activities. + Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes by suggesting enhancements or new tools/methodologies. + Stay up-to-date with industry trends in software quality assurance techniques.
