Quantitative Center Staff Co-Director

The Staff Co-Director serves as the pedagogical and programmatic anchor of the Quantitative Center, Middebury’s new, inviting home for quantitative study and support resources. This full-time, full-year position is on the ground overseeing all daily activities at the Q-Center (foundational workshops, collaborative group study, drop-in tutoring, training for tutors and faculty) with the goal of enhancing quantitative learning opportunities to address student and faculty needs, build confidence, and promote positive outcomes in STEM and quantitative fields.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $85,295 - $108,810 per year.
Core Responsibilities:
Diagnose student need by assessing quantitative skills & recommend placement for students Deliver comprehensive and effective training program for STEM/Q tutors with successful strategies for measuring impact Teach courses in essential STEM areas through pedagogical approaches that provide superb instruction in foundational quantitative concepts (for credit, e.g.- MATH105, 1-2 per year) Develop and execute excellent workshops for students that deliver effective, measurable skill development in introductory-level STEM/Q courses Develop, in collaboration with the Faculty Co-Director, professional development programming for STEM/Q faculty Provide 1:1 consults for students Oversee Q-Center budget Manage Q-Center student staff and daily operations
