Quantitative Model Solutions Specialist


About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Quantitative Model Solutions Specialist to support monitoring for Retail models.

The Retail Credit Decision Modeling team is responsible for model development and model monitoring for all Retail portfolios.
 

In this role, you will:

Participate in or help entry-level positions with low to moderately complex model maintenance and optimization initiatives related to operational processes, controls, reporting, testing, implementation, and documentationAnalyze basic data sets, quantitative models, and model output to validate model efficiency and results in support of business opportunitiesProvide design thinking and best practices to resolve basic model optimization methodology and processesPresent recommendations to leadership for resolving low to moderately complex situations by exercising independent judgment while developing expertise in quantitative model operationsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsManage end to end model monitoring for specific line of business in retail portfolio.Coordinating the various activities related to business analysis and model monitoring.Participate in the development and testing of various analytical models for business unit.Develop methods to enhance the existing process to add efficiency, transparency and consistency while maintaining quality and responsiveness standards.Trouble-shoot issues and pro-actively enact solutions in real time.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of quantitative model solutions or quantitative model operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualification:

2+ years of experience in scorecard development, model monitoring, risk analytics experience, or a combination of both.Advanced degree in statistics, finance, math, engineering, or similar quantitative disciplines.Proficient in Python or R or SASBachelor’s degree in engineering in any fieldProficient in Tableau, Power BI, or any of business intelligence toolsExperience in producing high quality technical documentation with tools such as Excel. Word, and PowerPointExcellent verbal and communication skillsAdvanced degree in statistics, finance, math, engineering or similar quantitative disciplinesGood Python skills in performing complex data manipulation and modeling in PythonExcellent analytical ability in interpreting data, analytical results to draw insights to develop credit scoring models and help business manage the credit risk effectivelyFamiliarity with U.S based Bureau DataExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to connect dots, see big picture and find solutions and articulate in a clear mannerUnderstanding of process, methodologies used in credit scoring model development, implementation, validation, and monitoringAbility to effectively manage multiple assignments with challenging timelinesExperience in statistical modeling techniquesStrong writing skills necessary for the review of highly detailed model documentation and reportingFlexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly complex environment
