About the Role
We are seeking a Quantitative Research Scientist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of advancing education through data-driven insights and innovative research. In this role, you will:
What You’ll Do
Scope, plan, and design research projects in alignment with the team’s agenda. Locate, extract, and process data from various internal and external sources, joining or merging discrete datasets as needed. Conduct statistical analyses using tools like R or Python, and create actionable visualizations using Tableau or similar tools. Translate research findings into clear and accessible insights tailored to different stakeholders. Contribute to the creation of thought leadership materials, including reports, articles, and presentations. Collaborate with team members and cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-impact research projects.What You’ll Bring
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of research design and quantitative data collection/analysis methods. Expertise in scientific computing tools (e.g., R, Python). Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau). Proven ability to prepare and process large datasets, ensuring meticulous documentation. Experience building and maintaining live dashboards is a plus. Background in learning science is an advantage.Cross-Functional Skills:
Flexible, self-motivated problem solver who adapts quickly to new challenges. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data insights to diverse audiences. Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in a small, agile, and globally dispersed team. Experience in an insights or research role within consumer-facing products is a plus.Education:
Master’s degree in Educational Research, Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a related field is required. PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.Why Join Us?

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $90,000 - $117,000.
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is Employee Benefits Guide 2025.
