Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Cost Controller to join our team for a high-profile construction project. The primary responsibility is to manage project costs, ensuring that the project is completed within budget while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Prepare initial cost estimates for the project, including materials, labor, equipment, and miscellaneous expenses. Tender Preparation: Prepare and analyze tender documents to select contractors and subcontractors. Cost Control: Monitor and control expenditures throughout the project to ensure costs remain within the initial budget. Work Evaluation: Assess and approve contractor payments for completed work. Risk Management: Identify and evaluate financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate them. Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders on the project’s budget status.Required Profile:
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in cost control and quantity surveying, ideally within the construction sector. Skills: Construction Management, Financial Planning, Scheduling, and Cost Management. Languages: English: Fluent (Mandatory) French: Fluent (Mandatory) Approach: Familiarity with the Anglo-Saxon method of cost and contract management is highly desirable. This approach emphasizes standardized, rigorous, and technologically advanced practices in construction project cost management, focusing on transparency, efficiency, and risk management.What can you expect?
