We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor across our Energy portfolio to work with collaboratively with our clients to deliver a range of schemes within Nuclear Energy

 

What you will contribute to the team; 

Working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team providing commercial supportSupport and advise the project manager in respect of fulfilment of all contractual obligations.Produce detailed cost plans throughout the design phase of projects.Actively promote and implement Value engineering and value for moneyReview appraise and report on Main Contract / Sub-contract tender
 

Required for the position of Quantity Surveyor; 

Chartered QS MRICS or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying subject (or equivalent)working towards chartered status (MRICS)Proven skills and experience of delivering within a Cost Consultancy/Main ContractorFlexibility in work location and travelNEC Experience.Preferred experience in using Cemar Excellent report writing skillsAbility to prioritise and able to work under pressureAbility to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleaguesExcellent presentation and communication skillsEffective time managementCustomer focusPlease be advised that offers for this role are conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of Security Clearance

 

Preferred but not required;

Experience in using CemarProcurement/ pre contract experience

The Unit delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting and Education, Health and Care Management. 


Defence & energy 
With extensive experience in the global defence sector, Mott MacDonald’s advisory and programme delivery teams deliver projects ranging from complex infrastructure upgrades to carbon reduction initiatives.   
Our experience in energy ranges from nuclear, renewables, hydro, thermal to electricity and gas, providing services to a global customer base within the energy sector, supporting the delivery of major capital projects and the transition to low-carbon generation.
