Airswift is seeking for Quantity Surveyor to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company. 

QUALIFICATIONS Tertiary qualifications and/or professional registration in a relevant in Quantity Surveying discipline. Candidate should be a qualified Quantity Surveyor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Management of cost compensation and adjustment mechanism for designated materials and bunker fuel (MGO) and bunker fuel diesel (LSMGO), including potentially other LLI that Company may mandate Contractor to procure; in line with the Contract.  Be responsible for management the cost compensation and adjustment mechanism for the procurement of critical project materials as set out in the contract. In liaison with Contractor establish robust and transparent mechanism for the implementation and monitoring of above mentioned mechanism to ensure effective moniroting, documentation, reporting and providing relevant input for settlement of associated milestones and invoices. Provide periodic reports on the implementation of the mechanism and demonstrate benefits thereof for senior management and shareholders meetings. Maintain credible and detailed report of the scheme implementation. Material expediting, manufacturing tracking, including logistics and documentation Participate in Project Management Team’s (PMT) procurement activities with input from other PMT functions to meet procurement objectives. Participate in kick-off meetings between PMT, EPC Contractor and vendors/sub- contractors and support EPC Contractor in resolving procurement issues and problems. Coordinate the procurement activities of the EPC Contractor with those of the PMT to ensure that company’s procurement objectives are met with regards to schedule and quality. Participate in the review and endorsement of EPC Contractor’s procurement deliverables and ensure all are in compliance with the contract requirements. Monitor EPC Contractor‘s compliance with approved procurement procedures and performance in areas of procurement and take necessary action to ensure full compliance with contractual requirements. Review the commercial Terms and Conditions of Purchase Orders and ensure they satisfy procurement minimum requirements. Support the evaluation of potential change orders and claims relating to procurement minimum requirements. Participate in the review of EPC Contractor procurement status report and identify any inconsistencies and gaps, highlight to PMT to ensure delivery of materials is aligned with the project schedule. Input into close out reports: Support the maintenance of register of material issues and participate to their prompt resolution. Expedite required documentation to handover to Contractor or receive from contractor related material. Contribute to close-out report, including disposal of left-over material. Attend meetings as required by Management
EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry for material handling, expediting and shipping. Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of infrastructure and/or production facilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT. Application and in depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards.
