Quarry Supervisor - Maintenance

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Ferny Grove Quarry team. Reporting to the Quarry Manager and working closely with the maintenance staff and contractors you will support our operations in relation to maintenance and plant performance issues.

In your new role with us, you will:

Ensure the quarry is adequately maintained and stock levels of components and consumables are maintained for fixed and mobile plantCoordinate all maintenance activities including shutdownsEnsure all plant and equipment are operating well within the statutory requirementsEnsure adequate records are maintained and regular maintenance procedures are being followed on all plant and equipmentMonitor improvements to maintenance tasks and processes or plant performanceBe responsible for overall fixed and mobile plant budget and cost controlUncover opportunities for improvements / initiatives in relation to work practices, planning and commissioning of new equipment, shutdowns, quarry operations, environmental, health and safety issues

About you:

Possess a strong mechanical aptitudePrevious experience in a similar roleHave a trade qualification - preferred but not necessaryHave experience in pneumatic and hydraulic systemsAre familiar with using SAP CMMS and have a strong grasp of MS ExcelYou are results focussed, self-motivated and have a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm and understand safety systems, work methods and risk assessmentsYou are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressureYou have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersYou are a natural problem solver and enjoy carrying out root cause analysis and troubleshooting
