Quotations Specialist

Johnson Service Group is looking for a Quotation Specialist for one of our clients in San Jose. The Quotations Specialist reports directly to the Quotations Lead and is responsible for preparing and analyzing Requests for Quotes (RFQs) from suppliers. This role involves collaborating across departments to evaluate supplier pricing, ensuring cost competitiveness, and compiling final quotes that reflect labor, material, and logistical considerations. The scope of duties varies based on the specialist’s training, experience, and skills.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze cost data to ensure accuracy, price competitiveness, and reliable supply. Work with a variety of supplier commodities, including electronics, sheet metal, packaging, and PCBs. Compile detailed quotes covering labor, materials, testing, overhead, and logistics. Coordinate complex tasks with suppliers, Supply Chain, SQE (Supplier Quality Engineers), Program Managers, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Job Specifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), purchasing, warehousing, or logistics environments. Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or business administration, or equivalent work experience. Strong understanding of complex pricing negotiations. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (with experience using Macros and V-Lookups). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to build strong working relationships. Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP). Ability to effectively communicate and present information to managers, employees, customers, and suppliers. High integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Availability Requirements:
Must be available during standard business hours and flexible to work additional hours as needed to meet responsibilities. Occasional odd-hour teleconferences with global facilities may be required.
Preferred Skills:
APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) Certification is preferred. Salary starting at $80k DOE
