The BD Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business combines proven technology with actionable intelligence to prevent medication errors, improve clinician productivity, increase predictability of medication availability, and improve organizational financial performance. At almost every point in the acute or non-acute medication use or management process, safety, efficiency, and costs can be favorably impacted with BD Pyxis™, BD Alaris™, BD Rowa™ Dose, BD Pyxis™ MedBank, BD Pyxis™ RapidRX, BD HealthSight™ and Parata™ solutions.
**Accountabilities and Essential Responsibilities:**
Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager (MMS), the **Quotes/Contracts Specialist** position is responsible for supporting the sales and marketing organization to drive operational excellence to achieve strategic and sales objectives. Customer service is critical to the success of this role in all interactions with sales, marketing and with customers. This position is responsible for profitability modelling, coordinating quote creation, purchase order (PO) execution and in aiding to troubleshoot downstream processes in logistics and billing. The Marketing Operations Analyst is expected to become a subject matter expert in contract analysis and system functionality (SAP, QlikView & Financial Analysis Tools) and deeply knowledgeable in Medication Management Solutions (MMS) capital products and offerings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Partner with (interact and proactively communicate) with MMS Sales team to prepare and manage the creation of customer facing quotations
+ Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise of MMS capital, pricing, services, contracting terms and conditions, applicable policies and procedures and marketing programs
+ Perform detailed audits of all sales proposals prior to quote development, generate price quotes for sales representatives and facilitate the approval process per the established authority guidelines
+ Develop options and alternatives for quotes with the sales representatives by utilizing the quotation system to document all non-standard pricing/discounts and drive proposals within the appropriate authority level
+ Liaise with MMS Business, Sales, Contracts, Revenue Recognition and/or Legal, where required to ensure that customer quotes can be effectively executed
+ Perform financial analysis on sales proposals using a standard financial model to determine deal margin and plan variances
+ Facilitate after-sale contract administration and tracking (i.e. rebates, license fees)
+ Support invoice reconciliation activities to drive a positive customer experience
+ Liaise with Customer Order Management, Logistics and Revenue Recognition Departments to provide quote/contract clarification, where necessary, throughout the end-to-end process of quote to customer to product implementation
+ Participate, lead and/or manage other contracts projects as required. Share and leverage best practices, new learnings and developments from other businesses locally and globally to drive continuous improvement
**Education and Experience:**
+ University degree or college diploma.
+ 2+ years of financial, and/or sales support (quotes, agreements, contracts administration) experience.
+ Strong analytical and mathematical skills are required; requires strong negotiation and financial analysis skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word; advanced Excel knowledge.
+ Experience in SAP and Salesforce.com are an asset
+ Strong analytical and mathematical aptitudes
+ Flexibility and ability to balance competing priorities and juggle multiple projects simultaneously; ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to liaise with multiple internal departments; ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex contractual documentation; ability to respond effectively and in a timely manner to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
+ General understanding of commercial contract management, including contract strategy development, pricing, product technology, quoting and policy development
