R&D ANA Tech Senior Research Scientist
Overview Job Title: R&D ANA Tech Senior Research Scientist Employer: Frito-Lay, Inc. Location: 7701 Legacy Drive Plano, Texas 75024 Responsibilities Duties: Utilize analytical and scientific techniques to develop analytical methods and oil chemistry solutions for multi-regional deployment within PepsiCo. Discover, develop, and deploy analytical equipment necessary to demonstrate advantages of new lab technology and create innovative solutions to existing or new opportunities. Define new capital requirements in the analytical and field operations labs, define success criteria, and qualify equipment for new installations at commercial scale. Develop Oil Quality Test program strategy and plan for basic and advanced oil chemistry training to build technical skills and make available to broader global teams and technical associates. Support project agendas including analytical technical approach, setting timelines for oil quality programs. Support product development, operations, and procurement on key oil quality decisions. Consult product development teams on test designs for analysis of new products from raw material to finished products. Leverage external and internal experts for key scientific and analytical research. Data driven decisions to maintain the quality of our global oil analyses and Oil Quality Programs impacting brands competitive advantage. Travel 10% - domestic and international. Qualifications Job Requirements: Doctorate degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Analytical food chemistry experience (HPLC, GC, ICP, UV, MS, WET CHEM); NIR/FTIR chemometrics experience; Oil chemistry/processing knowledge; and experience in cross-functional projects. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Industrial frying oil chemistry; CPG process/product development experience; and Leadership and collaboration skills.
