R&D Analytical Intern

Project Summary: The R&D Analytical Intern will join the EPDM membrane team to develop and refine testing methods using Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA). The intern will explore the mechanical properties of EPDM membranes under various environmental conditions to enhance product performance and reliability. This project will provide hands-on experience in method development, material characterization, and data analysis. The intern will work closely with seasoned chemists and engineers to translate lab findings into actionable insights for manufacturing and quality control processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize testing protocols for EPDM membranes using DMA. Conduct material testing and data collection in a laboratory setting. Analyze test data to identify trends and variances. Collaborate with the R&D team to interpret results and recommend improvements. Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings. Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress and receive feedback.Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Junior, Senior, or Graduate level academic standing. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab) is a plus. Familiarity with Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) or related material testing techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
