Job Title: R&D Associate

Job Description

The R&D Associate will be an integral part of the team, focusing on material extraction and testing processes. This role involves working with various extraction platforms, including EMAG, QIAsymphony, Roche Magna Pure, and BioPerfectus, to extract materials utilized in downstream testing. The associate will support scientists with general tasks, perform lab cleaning, and work with biological stool and dilution samples. Additionally, they will conduct PCR tests and analyze results, ensuring documentation and verification are thoroughly completed. The position is primarily lab-based, with 60-70% of the time spent in the lab and the remainder dedicated to paperwork and data analysis.

ResponsibilitiesOperate extraction platforms such as EMAG, QIAsymphony, Roche Magna Pure, and BioPerfectus.Extract and prepare materials for downstream testing.Run samples and conduct PCR tests in-house.Perform data analysis, verification, and validation of test results.Document and review paperwork related to testing processes.Support scientists with general laboratory tasks and maintenance.Conduct stability tests for infectious disease diagnosis.Essential SkillsAssociates degree in Sciences.Experience using pipettes.Knowledge of ELISA, assay, PCR, SOP, and molecular biology.Proficiency in data analysis, validation, and verification software.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with documentation review.Work Environment

The R&D Associate will work in both a lab and office environment. The position follows the first shift, starting at 9 am, with departures around 4 pm. Some days may require adjusting the schedule to stay later, up to 8-9 pm, or starting as early as 7 am, with schedules planned in advance. The role involves mostly paper copy paperwork.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $25.50/hr.
