Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion business IEC LV Motors division in Bangalore & Faridabad, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tUtilize 2D and 3D modeling to create special mechanical designs in engineered to order projects.•\tReview mechanical bill of material accuracy and work with project engineers to achieve desired mechanical component ordering.•\tEnsure all designs work to meet company, industry, and customer’s technical standards/requirements (i.e., IS. IEC, NEMA, ANSI, IEEE, customer project specifications, etc.).•\tPerform tolerance and mechanical stress analysis as necessary.•\tSupport mechanical designs for New Product Introductions.•\tAddress manufacturing concerns or questions related to mechanical designs and/or bill of materials.•\tProvide feedback and solutions to project managers and project engineers to meet customer needs.
Qualifications for the role\tBE or B Tech, M. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering.\tMinimum 5 or more years of experience in rotating machines background or Mechanical Design.\tExperience working in a manufacturing environment and specifically with Casting, steel or fabrication.\tProficient with AutoCAD (recent version) or equivalent computer aided design platform. Computer Aided Design certification or degree preferred.\tFluent in written, reading and verbal English\tPersonality: Good team player, communication and presentation skills. 5 and above years of experience in rotating machines background.\tExperience with PLM software - Teamcenter Experience with 3D design including use of NX, Solid works, or equivalent design platforms
