Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and drive technology, software, product, and/or solution development using in-depth technical expertise in a specific area. Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) for in-depth product or technology-related issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting strategic corporate technology management and future product/software/solution architecture. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion business System Drives division in Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tResearch, development and productization of control, modulation and estimation methods for power conversion systems, including linear and nonlinear control for Medium Voltage Drives.•\tDesign embedded real-time software running on the CPU. •\tConverter-interfaced systems modeling and optimization •\tLead and participate in R&D projects, generate intellectual property, and support the organization with your systems and control expertise •\tWork with different converter topologies like 3- level VSC converter, 5 level VSC converter, Current source inverter•\tInvolved in the whole software development life cycle: Requirements engineering, design, implementation, tests, and maintenance.

Qualifications for the role

\tFull-time B.E/Master’s/Msc or PhD degree in power electronics with strong expertise in control of converters, modeling of converters with minimum 8+ years of industrial experience. \tStrong expertise in control theory and applied control methods, particularly modern control formulated in the time domain including model predictive control. \tKeen interest in advanced modulation methods for three-phase systems (pulse width modulation, optimized pulse patterns) and mathematical optimization (nonlinear programming). \tIntermediate to Expert level proficiency in C++ programming language. \tExperience in embedded application design and implementation with minimum 8+ years of experience. \tGood understanding of Configuration management, Code Repository, Requirements management, Code Management, CI/CD and different testing phases including Release testing.\tExperience in working with Industrial Drives / VFDs (drives), Drives testing, knowledge on Drives Applications, Drive control loops, Drives Configurations and Drives System Topologies.
