Job Title: R&D Chemist

Job Description

The Formulation Chemist will conduct laboratory testing for the development of aqueous and oil-based formulations for various metal treatment applications, from concept to commercialization. This position will grow and enhance our technical capabilities while creating new products to drive growth in the market. Knowledge of the chemistry of surfactants, lubricants, rust preventatives, and pretreatment is desired. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in laboratory settings, along with excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop new commercial technologies, processes, and products..Perform lab-scale experiments to evaluate product performance and stability.Analyze chemical samples and prepare detailed reports on findings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and troubleshooting.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in laboratory practices.Maintain accurate records of experiments, procedures, and results using appropriate software.Assist in the validation and documentation of product specifications and manufacturing processes.Provide technical support to customers and internal teams regarding product applications and performance.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or related field.Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in R&D, chemical formulation, or product development.Strong understanding of metalworking fluids, anticorrosive coatings, rust preventatives, and pretreatment processes is preferred.Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment including analytical instrumentation.Excellent problem-solving skills.Attention to detail.Strong communication skills.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Benefits for new hires, unless explained otherwise, will become effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
