Your role and responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite with some hybrid possibilities. We are now looking for a new R&D controller and Financial Analyst to join our team in ABB DistributionSolutions division in Vaasa. In this role, you will be responsible for business control and financial analyst related tasks within the Finance team. This is a temporary position ending 31.12.2025 with a possibility for an extension until the end of 2026.You will be mainly accountable for:• Various R&D monthly reporting, including CHTET reporting and cost follow-up• Business Finland reports for different R&D projects, including follow-ups• Assisting in the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting• Validating the accuracy of financial data, business information and reports by performing reconciliations and reviews of exceptions• Performing controls within your area as designed, while maintaining a proper audit trail and documentation for future audits and reviews• Following up on Fixed Asset and CAPEX • Different R&D related ad-hoc reporting, hourly rate calculations and supporting the implementation of standardized reports for the R&D team

Qualifications for the role

Current or soon to be completed BSc or M.Sc. degree from a relevant field, such Accounting, Finance or similarSome (>2 years) experience from related tasks, such as month end reporting and forecastingPractical experience with tools such as MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP Excellent English and Finnish skills, both written and spokenProactive way of working with a motivation towards growing as an expert Excellent time management skills and flexibility with working scheduling
