R&D Data Analyst
Overview Join the PepsiCo Global R&D Agricultural team and take on the exciting role of managing and analyzing datasets using Microsoft suites. This position is perfect for those with a strong agriculture/plant sciences background and a basic grasp of data manipulation and data analysis principles, coupled with a keen eye for detail. Although extensive experience is not required, familiarity with industry practices is advantageous. In this role, you will work closely with a team of scientists, collaborating to grasp concepts and implement them efficiently. The R&D Agricultural Sciences team at PepsiCo delivers on a global scale and through validated agricultural science solutions, competitively advantaged varieties of key crops. Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to the following: Receive and meticulously examine raw data from diverse sources, identifying inconsistencies and errors. Execute data cleaning procedures following provided guidelines and protocols to ensure accuracy and completeness. Format, filter, and validate data to meet rigorous quality standards. Expertly handle large data sheets, emphasizing efficient data organization. Utilize Excel functions, formulas, macros, and other data tools to streamline processes. Manage data storage, retrieval, and updates proficiently. Implement validation checks to guarantee data integrity. Collaborate with team members to validate cleaned data structures and troubleshoot discrepancies. Conduct quantitative analysis using Excel and other tools and functions. Develop user-friendly guides for data entry and manipulation tasks. Engage closely with cross-functional teams to grasp data requirements and maintain quality. Communicate effectively with team members to address queries related to data. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $137,600. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Agricultural Science, Plant Science or a related discipline. Master's or a Ph. D.degree is preferred. A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Handling & Data Analysis Experience is required. Fundamental understanding of data cleaning and manipulation concepts and methodologies. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Previous experience in an industry setting is a plus but not required. Familiarity with data-related tasks in a professional context is advantageous. Coding skills and experience is a plus. Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills.
