As an R&D Engineer, you’ll work on exciting projects that push the boundaries of material technologies, test methodologies, and new product development. From validating materials in the lab to collaborating with production teams on the line, your work will directly impact our innovations and solutions for customers.

 

In this role, you’ll focus on material development, working alongside chemists and engineers to drive new breakthroughs. You’ll troubleshoot field and plant issues, become a subject matter expert in composites, and contribute to our innovative technologies. Whether you’re developing new testing processes or supporting long-term projects, your contributions will help shape the future of our industry.

Highlights of your role Testing & Collaboration: Leverage lab resources to conduct tests, analyze results, and share insights through clear presentations and reports. Collaborate across teams for efficient outcomesSupport Internal Teams: Partner with Production, T&D, Product Development, and Quality teams to resolve material and process challenges. Coordinate testing to validate solutionsCustomer Engagement: Address customer inquiries on product performance and materials, contributing engineering expertise to product and equipment developmentMaterial Development: Lead efforts to improve materials, driving innovation and enabling new products and processesProject Leadership: Manage project teams to meet goals in scope, schedule, and budget, using your expertise in core processesInnovation: Drive or support innovation projects that lead to breakthroughs and enhance efficienciesDevelop Expertise: Grow as an authority in materials, composites, or related areas, and share knowledge across teams You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Project management experience, with a track record of leading teams to meet objectivesHands-on experience with testing, analyzing data, and interpreting resultsFamiliarity with continuous manufacturing processes, such as pultrusion or extrusionStrong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and collaborate effectively Also want to make sure you have A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required (Mechanical, Chemical, or Material/Polymer Science preferred)
