Job Description:

R&D Staff Engineer SW Quality: Demonstrate Strong technical Knowledge for testing & validating complex issues for SAN switches which use Fiber Channel (FCP/FICON) and IP protocols for transport.

Primary responsibility includes:

Review the functional specs, test specs created by Cross-site Dev & Test team to understand the product/feature functionalityReview User Documentation to ensure all the features/product functionality and Known issues are documentedCreation and review of test strategies, test designs, Test cases, and Test Automation SuitesMentor the junior test engineers and provide technical guidance to them to build a high performing teamEstablish cross-functional relationships to improve the testability of productsInteractions with customers for demos, test qualifications, and feedback sessions

Requirements (Must Have):

Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on test experienceStrong knowledge of various types of testing, such as functional, negative, boundary, performance, scale, longevity testing, etcSAN/Storage knowledgeSystem testing in Linux/Open source environmentTest automation experience using PythonAbility to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel tasks and projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly Desired:

Automation development (Python)SAN protocol knowledge (Fiber Channel, FCIP, FICON)Networking protocol knowledge (L2/L3/L4)
