Job Description
As a R&D Engineer, you will be closely working with foundry eco system for developing flow and methodology for advanced technology nodes. Each node introduces new, complex layout design rules and other process nuances that impact the entire implementation methodology. Role will involve working closely with R&D for feature set completion, performing PPA sweeps to come up with best PPA/ TAT methodology, ensuring that the methodology is validated across the completed flow and finally ensuring that the methodology can be realized in silicon. Role involves analyzing, debugging and solving in-depth technical issues related to implementation methodologies and flows. Ability to handle relatively open-ended problems and forge a path to a solution will be key. RTL to GDSII mindset and understanding possible impacts of a technology challenge through the flow is critical, work in collaborative mode with external and internal partners and be a proven team player. Occasional traveling may be needed.
Requirements
BS with at-least 5-7 years in Physical Implementation. Experience in independently analysing and resolving all aspects of RTL to GDSII physical design challenges, Physical Verification and proficiency in Tcl/Unix/Perl scripting. The person must be self-motivated and dedicated with proven debug skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to interface with customers and business unit personnel are essential.
