We’re looking for a Designware/Datapath R&D Engineer to join the team.
Synopsys is hiring an R&D Software Engineer to develop bleeding edge algorithms and graph transforms to optimize datapath circuits. In this role you will be working as a member of the Designware/Datapath R&D team in the areas of Arithmetic, Datapath synthesis and optimization, power optimization and physical synthesis for datapath circuits.
Your work will impact all modern consumer and enterprise chips and help make them more efficient. You will develop algorithms that produce optimal and elegant circuitry that improves power, area and performance of most chips consumer and enterprise ICs. Requirements:New college graduates with a CS/EE/CE are encouraged to applyA bachelor’s of CS/EE/CE with up to 5 years related experience is recommended. An understanding of Logic synthesis and optimization are required.RTL high-level optimization experience would be a plusDigital circuit power analysis and optimizationDigital IC design flows (ASIC and FPGA)Some knowledge of datapath / arithmetic circuitry desiredExperience with developing software on Unix/Linux. Programming skills in C++Skillful in using script languages such as TCL, Perl, Unix shell scripts.Experience with software development processes, and proficiency with debugging tools.Proficiency in designing data structures, algorithms, and specs for sophisticated software products.Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to coordinate discussions with other R&D teams.Prior knowledge and experience of EDA tool development and hardware design would be a plus but not required.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $xx,xxx to $xxx,xxx. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
