Job DescriptionInvolved in definition and development of designs which meet performance, cost and schedule objectives, and follow them through prototype and pilot phases.Plan, develop and implement firmware for the control of instrumentation.Work closely with cross competency engineers to optimize the design and ensure proper documentation of design specifications/files and writing of test reports to back up designs.Interface with the design and implementation engineers and architects.Work closely with Project Manager to construct proper schedule and ensure timely project delivery.Perform characterization and testing of design prototypes, analyze and verify the design to meet product performance specifications. Manage firmware codes documentations and releases.Constantly on the search and innovation of new methods/technologies/solutions to elevate design competency for life science instrumentation.QualificationsBachelor/Masters in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering with >2 years related working experience.Experience in developing and debugging firmware. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.Experience using test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes and DAQ for problem resolution and design verification.Knowledge in firmware development for motion control, thermal control and USB or CAN Bus design, image processing are added advantage.Able to adapt well in a dynamic working environment, eager to learn new knowledge, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and planning skills required.
