Bring products to life as a R&D Scientist II on the Bars Commercialization Team! This position will lead large scale innovation projects across the Bars Business Unit. This person will focus on optimizing new bars, developing consumer empathy, and commercializing the resulting brand expansions for F26 and beyond. This role involves influencing the business through technical feasibility and project execution, bringing new ideas to life through prototyping, and developing a strong technical understanding of new bars technologies to bring these products to market. KEY ACCOUNTABILIITIES Lead innovation projects for the Snacks Operating Unit Design, develop, and commercialize a product that meets all consumer, business, and manufacturing constraints Develop and commercialize a product that delivers all quality constraints Development and execution of robust technical plan to effectively manage and mitigate technical risk Effectively manage project to deliver against all project milestones Successful cross functional partnership to take project from idea through the steps needed to commercialize MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field 2+ years experience as a R&D Scientist or related field Comfortable working with external manufacturing partners Demonstrated ability to influence the business and cross-functional teams Demonstrated acumen and experience in the full product development cycle from bench to commercialization Ability to flex based on business needs and manage multiple projects Demonstrated ability to develop effective internal and external networks PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's Degree Sense of technical, consumer, & trend curiosity Experience with digital and experimentation tools ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for a U.S. work visa. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $68700.00 - $103200.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
